This established Ōmine route climbs steeply from the west entrance of Gyōjagaeri Tunnel to the Ōmine Okugakemichi, then passes Benten-no-Mori and the Shōbō-no-Shuku ruins to visit Misen, Mount Hakkyō—the highest peak in the Kinki region—and Myōjōgatake. It links Misen Hut and the inner shrine of Tenkawa Daibenzaiten, crossing native spruce and fir forest and the protected Oyama-renge habitat before reaching wide views along the sacred ridge.
