Raizan Artificial Ski Area Closed

Raizan Artificial Ski Area was a ski area on Mount Raizan, a 955 m peak of the Sefuri range on the border between Itoshima in Fukuoka and Saga City, whose northern side looks over Fukuoka and the Genkai Sea. By the late 1930s there were already two ski fields with a hut about 3 km above the Raizan Kannon temple, partly reachable by car. The ski area has since closed.
