Mount Kōshi
柑子岳

Mount Kōshi is a 254.4-metre hill in the Imazu district of Nishi Ward, Fukuoka City, overlooking Hakata Bay. In the Sengoku period it bore Kōshidake Castle, contested by the Ōuchi and Ōtomo clans, and the surviving earthworks of three bailey groups along the ridge are designated a city historic site. The summit is reached in about thirty minutes by a stair-stepped path from the Ichinotani trailhead, opening onto a 360-degree view across the Itoshima Peninsula and Hakata Bay, and the mountain features in the Fukuoka Super-Low Mountains selection.
