Hakugindai Ski Area trail map

Hakugindai is the town-run ski hill of Churui in Makubetsu, and the only ski slope in southern Tokachi. A single pair lift serves a steep advanced run of 26 to 28 degrees, a gentler beginner and intermediate run, and a dedicated sledding slope, so it is used by local families as well as racers. Floodlights allow skiing into the evening. Each February it hosts a Hokkaido-wide cardboard sled race, and it has also held regional alpine races. An SAJ-certified ski school runs season-long courses for children. The hill is about 1 km from Churui IC on the Obihiro-Hiroo Expressway, close to the Churui roadside station and Nauman onsen.
