Suemori-yama is a roughly 138 m hill in the Sōno area of Hōdatsushimizu Town, Ishikawa Prefecture, crowned by the prefecturally designated Suemori Castle ruins. A strategic mountain castle on the Noto–Kaga border, it is famous as the site of the 1584 Battle of Suemori, in which Okumura Nagatomi held it for the Maeda side until Maeda Toshiie's relief arrived — said to have laid the foundation for the "million-koku" Kaga domain. Trailhead parking lies at its foot, with the main bailey a 15–20 minute walk up. It appears in the "Mountains of Ishikawa" and the prefectural mountain guide.
