Mt. Takamaru

Mt. Takamaru is a 1,438.8-meter peak on the border between Kamikatsu Town (Katsuura District) and Naka Town (Naga District) in eastern Tokushima Prefecture, designated as a prefectural natural-environment conservation area. Pristine beech forests, iroha maples, and azaleas fill the slopes, and the trailhead is supported by the Takamaru-so lodge and an open glade. The peak is listed among the Shikoku 100 Famous Mountains and the Shikoku 100.
