Mt. Rokka

Rokkayama is a 395.8 m peak in the western part of Minoh City, Osaka, belonging to the Hokusetsu Mountains. The name is said to come from the Edo-period practice of six neighbouring villages sharing the woodland as common land; the triangulation pillar is officially named Matsuoyama. The southern slope hosts the city-run Kyōgaku-no-Mori (Alterna no Mori Minoh) youth outdoor centre, and several municipally maintained hiking courses thread the ridges. From the summit's Wakuwaku Observatory, hikers can take in a sweeping view of the Osaka Plain.
