Oofudayama is a 1,373.6 m peak straddling the boundary of Kawanehon Town (Haibara District) and the former Haruno area of Hamamatsu City in Shizuoka Prefecture, designated as part of the Okuoi Prefectural Natural Park. The mountain is renowned for its colonies of pink Akayashio azaleas which transform the ridge into a tunnel of blossoms each May, and its summit overlooks the Ōigawa gorge with distant views to Mt. Fuji and the Southern Alps on clear days. Forest Road Minami-Akaishi has been closed since a major landslide in May 2019, so hikers must now approach on foot from the Mitsuboshi Observatory parking lot. The peak appears in the Shizuoka Hyakuzan and the Shizuoka prefectural climbing guide.
