Mikazukiyama is a 272 m hill on the boundary of Higashi Ward of Fukuoka City and the towns of Hisayama and Shingu in Kasuya District, Fukuoka Prefecture, paired with neighbouring Tachibanayama in the city's 'Tachibana–Mikazuki Friendship Forest.' Its open summit affords a 360-degree panorama, and tradition holds that an outpost of frontier guards (sakimori) was stationed here in the reign of Emperor Tenji, giving the peak its alternative name 'Jinyama' ('Camp Mountain'). The 4 km ridge path linking Mikazuki and Tachibana, completed in 1973, is one of east Fukuoka's most popular day hikes. The peak appears in the Fukuoka prefectural climbing guide and the Fukuoka Chōteizan list.
