Mt. Inunaki is a 583.6 m peak in the Inunaki district of Miyawaka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, one of the Inunaki Range that spans three cities and two towns of northern Fukuoka. Also known as Kumagajō, it preserves the legacy of a 1542 (Tenbun 11) engagement in which Kurose Etchū-no-Kami of the Munakata Daigūji clan held the mountain against the invading Ōtomo forces. The Inunaki range was an ascetic site of the Hōman-zan Shugendō tradition, classified within its three-part four-tier mandala. The peak is most often hiked as a traverse with Mt. Nishi (Mt. Ayusaka) starting from the Inunaki Dam, and it is listed in the Japan 1003 Elevation Mountains and the Fukuoka Mountain Guide.
