A 1,266 m peak straddling the border between Kaneyama Town in Fukushima Prefecture and Aga Town in Niigata Prefecture, in the Echigo Mountains. It rises along the ridge extending south from Mt. Mikagura, one of the 200 Famous Mountains of Japan, and its sheer cliffs and deep gorges have earned the area the nickname "the Tanigawa-dake of Aizu–Echigo." The summit commands a 360-degree panorama including Mt. Bandai, Mt. Iide, Mt. Asakusa and Mt. Sumon. Listed on the Utsukushima Hyakumeizan and Aizu Hyakumeizan; the climbing season runs from early June through late October.
