Mt. Deki (Dekiyama, 1,052.7 m) is a peak on the Dando ridge straddling the boundary between Shitara Town in Kitashitara District and Toyota City in Aichi Prefecture, marked by a first-order triangulation station. The trail along the Tōkai Nature Trail rises only gently to the summit, and the nearby Dando-Uratani Old-Growth Forest (Kirara-no-Mori) of beech, mizunara oak, tsuga, and fir is among Aichi's finest. Edo-period records of placer-gold panning gave the mountain its name, said to mean "the place where gold appeared." It is featured in the regional lists "130 Mountains of Aichi" and "Mountains of Aichi Prefecture".
