Tomiokayama is a small 110 m hill in Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture, sitting just off the main Oda Castle course that links the foot and summit of Hōkyōsan (461 m), reached in under ten minutes from the main trail. Hōkyōsan—named for a Kamakura-period Hōkyōin pagoda and straddling the Tsukuba/Tsuchiura border—is a popular foothill of the Tsukuba range, and Tomiokayama is one of the knolls along its trails.
