Senganzan is a 162 m mountain in the Matsushima area of Kamiamakusa, Kumamoto Prefecture, designated a national scenic site. Its name comes from the strange rock formations; earlier it was called Teshakushiyama after a legend that Amakusa Shiro held a war feast on its summit. The top gives a 360-degree panorama over the Amakusa Five Bridges, the Uto and Shimabara peninsulas, Shimoshima and the Yatsushiro Sea, and it is known for cherry blossom.
