Mount Ojika

Mount Ojika is a 728 m peak behind Lake Shidaka in Beppu City, Oita Prefecture, within Aso-Kuju National Park. Two trails - one from Shidaka Lake and one from the "Ojika" youth centre - reach the summit in about 30 minutes, with an additional loop linking to Lake Kaguraime. Viewed from the Funaiwai Bridge in Oita City, the ridge of Ojika neatly overlaps the saddle between Yufu and Tsurumi peaks - a striking visual coincidence. The peak is included in the Oita Hyakuzan and Shin Oita Hyakuzan lists.
