Mount Murii

Mount Murii is an 1,876.3-meter peak in the Kita-Daisetsu (North Daisetsu) section of Hokkaido's Ishikari Mountains, straddling the towns of Engaru and Kamikawa. It is the second-highest summit in Kita-Daisetsu after Niseikaushuppe and the tallest peak in the Okhotsk subprefecture. The summit holds a first-class triangulation point named "Muryū-yama" and was historically called Pinneshiri (the "male mountain"). The mountain is counted among the 100 famous mountains of Hokkaido.
