Mount Kojo, also called Mount Oka, is a 282.8 m isolated hill in Minakuchi, Koka City, Shiga Prefecture, holding the ruins of Minakuchi-Okayama Castle. Built in 1585 by Nakamura Kazuuji at the command of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the fortress was the seat of Mashita Nagamori and Natsuka Masaie before being abandoned after the Battle of Sekigahara. Stone walls, castle enclosures and vertical moats survive, and the site is a Nationally Designated Historic Site.
