Mount Izumi

Mount Izumi is a 1,209 m isolated peak in Kagamino, Tomata District, Okayama Prefecture, the prefecture's sixth-highest summit and listed among the Hundred Famous Mountains of the Chūgoku region. Its top opens to a full 360-degree panorama — north across the Chūgoku Mountains to the Sea of Japan, west toward Mount Hiruzen and Mount Daisen, east to the Nagi Range and Mount Ushiro, and south down to the Tsuyama basin. Its name is variously traced to the springs that flow on its flanks or to the Izumigaune Shrine in the Yono district of former Okutsu Town.
