A 253-meter hill in Sanuki City, Kagawa Prefecture, on the boundary of Tomita-naka, Tsuda and Shinden in old Okawa Town. The summit holds the remains of Ametakijo Castle, the Muromachi-period stronghold of the Yasutomi clan, deputy guardians of eastern Sanuki Province; the castle site sits within Ametaki Forest Bathing Park, with the Ametaki Nature Science Museum at the foot. The peak commands a sweeping view of Tsuda Bay, and in 1998 what is regarded as the world's oldest catfish fossil was unearthed on its lower slopes. The peak is included in the Kagawa Prefecture Mountain Guide (Bunken Tozan Guide).
