Ishimori is a 1,308 m peak on Moriyoshizan in Kitaakita, Akita Prefecture, lying near Chigodaira on the ridge where the Ani gondola route and the Kometsuga route merge toward the summit. Moriyoshizan (1,454 m) is a compound volcano designated a prefectural natural park, famed as one of Japan's "100 Mountains of Flowers" with some 300 species of alpine plants, and—together with Zaō and Hakkōda—as one of Japan's three great rime-ice (juhyō) sites.
