Ichinotake

Ichinotake is a 1,122-metre point (1,124 m on Buzen City's official mountain map) on the Inugatake ridge that runs along the boundary between Buzen in Fukuoka Prefecture and Yabakei in Nakatsu, Ōita Prefecture. Buzen City's route guide lists it as a station on the loop that starts from the Kubote-san public car park and continues over Ichinotake, Ōzao Pass, Inugatake (also called Sannotake or Mikanoo), Shakadake and Oizuri Pass. Inugatake (1,130.8 m) is the highest peak of the Buzen range, and the beech woods around it hold some 30 hectares of wild Rhododendron japonoheptamerum, the largest stand of which, along the Kyūshū Nature Trail, is a National Natural Monument. The area lies within Yaba-Hita-Hikosan Quasi-National Park.
