神鳩ノ宮避難小屋

Unmanned shelter at about 1,560m inside Hakusan National Park, in Itoshiro, Shirotori-cho, Gujo City, Gifu Prefecture. It stands on the ridge running from the Itoshiro trailhead toward Choshigamine, partway along the southern traverse to Hakusan — a long line of 15.7km from Itoshiro over Bessan to Nanryugabanba, about nine hours forty minutes up and seven hours fifty down. Itoshiro, where the trail begins, is home to Hakusan Chukyo Shrine and prospered together with Nagataki as a base of Hakusan worship on the Mino side; this path has long been known as the Mino Zenjodo pilgrimage route. The Hakusan Tourism Association gives a capacity of 15 with a toilet and water available from July through October. The hut is open all year at no charge, but visitors are asked to check in advance since the water source and toilet are unusable in some periods, and not to let one group monopolise the space.
