From the Yohaisho trailhead in southern Kama, this return passes Goshinsho Rock, a boulder about 24 m high that once held the upper shrine of Umami Shrine, to the 978 m Mount Umami, said to be Fukuoka's highest mountain away from the prefectural border. Part of the Kaho Alps, a Japan Mountain Heritage site, it has moss-covered granite boulders, beech woods rare in Fukuoka and the Umami shelter.
