This loop starts at the Kanegatake bus stop in Nanasawa, crosses 561 m Mount Kanegatake, and returns by the Ōgama Benzaiten path. In eastern Tanzawa, the mountain is said to take its name from a form resembling an inverted temple bell and is a local sacred peak above the Nanasawa and Kōtakuji hot-spring area. The route combines forest climbs and ridge walking; plan conservatively and use appropriate hiking equipment.
