From the Oyama Cable bus stop the walk follows the approach to Afuri Shrine's lower hall, then climbs the milestone-marked Omote-sando past the paired cedars, the Tengu's nose-pierced rock and the Fujimidai viewpoint to the 1,252 m summit with the main shrine. The descent swings to Miharashidai and zigzags down the Tsuzura-ori switchbacks to a mountain lodge, then follows the Hinata forest road past Johotsuganji to the bus stop at Hinata Yakushi, known for its thatched hall.
