From Susugaya in Kiyokawa, Kanagawa, the loop climbs past Morinotake onto the ridge of Oyama Mitsumine, whose west, middle and east peaks form a strenuous line of chains and knife-edge ridges. It crosses Nanasawayama and drops to Fudojiri, where a large colony of mitsumata shrubs blooms in spring, then follows the valley back, a demanding day for a peak of only 935 m.
