Plana Ski Area Closed
Official name プラーナスキー場 · Formerly サレガランドプラーナスキー場
Ehime
Open 2003–2009
Plana was a ski area near Sarega Pass in Tobe, Ehime, less than an hour from central Matsuyama. It opened in December 2003 as Saregaland Plana, with one triple chairlift, two runs backed by snowmaking, and night skiing until close to midnight with views over the city lights. Financial and management problems kept it shut in 2005-06; it reopened as Plana for 2006-07 but closed in 2009 and was abandoned by 2010. The lift and buildings still stand behind a locked gate.
