Okushiri Sakuragaoka is the town-run ski hill of Okushiri Island, a small slope where island children and residents ski through the winter. The town holds its ski class and annual town ski meet here. Only season tickets are sold, and children up to junior-high age ski free. On weekdays it opens from the afternoon into the evening, so people can ski after school or work. The season usually runs from early January to mid-March.
