Myojindaira Ski Area Closed
Official name 明神平スキー場
Nara
Myojindaira Ski Area was a ski ground on Myojindaira, an open grassy saddle in the Daiko Mountains on the border of Nara and Mie prefectures, close to Mount Myojin (1,432 m). The wide, treeless feel of the plateau is a legacy of its ski days. Today it is a popular hiking destination known for beech forest and winter rime, with space for tents and a few private club huts such as Ashibi Sanso.
