Mt. Yatsuzura

Mt. Yatsuzura is a 1,166 m peak on the boundary between the Yamatakara area of Tsushima-chō in Uwajima City (Ehime) and Shimanto City (Kōchi), a core summit of the Onigajōzan range in southern Ehime. The rounded summit ridge is mantled with rhododendrons and beech forest, and on clear days offers a 360-degree panorama embracing the Uwa Sea, central Uwajima, and the mountains of distant Kyushu. Rime ice forms here in winter, and the peak is often traversed in combination with neighboring Mt. Onigajō, Mt. Sanbongui, and Mt. Ōkubo. It is included in the Ehime Prefecture Mountain Guide.
