A 478.3 m peak straddling Aoumi-chō in Sakaide City and Takamatsu City on the Goshikidai plateau, Kagawa Prefecture; it is the "red" Akamine among the five colour-named peaks (red, yellow, black, blue, white) that give Goshikidai its name. The lava plateau lies within Setonaikai National Park and preserves distinctive Sanukite outcrops together with butte and mesa landforms; temples No. 81 Shiramine-ji and No. 82 Negoro-ji of the Shikoku Pilgrimage stand within the Goshikidai uplands, and the summit ridge commands wide views over the Seto Inland Sea. The peak is listed in Japan's 1003 Mountains by Elevation, the Shikoku Hyakuzan, the Kagawa Prefecture Mountain Guide and the Nihon no Yama 1000.
