Kenjō-san is a 520 m peak straddling Ishinomaki City and the former Ogatsu Town (now part of Ishinomaki) in Miyagi Prefecture, and is the highest mountain in Ishinomaki. The name derives from "Kenjō-zan" (献上山, "Mountain of Tribute"), recalling how high-grade Ogatsu inkstone material from this area was historically presented to the Date clan. The peak sits at the southern end of the Kitakami Range; its grass-covered summit holds a small pavilion and benches and offers wide views. The 20 km Ishinomaki Green Hiking Road links the mountain with neighboring Jōbon-yama and Mizunuma-yama, and the easy trail conditions make it a popular family hike. The mountain appears in the Tōhoku 100 Famous Mountains, the Mountains of Miyagi (Bunken-tozan-guide), and the Michinoku 120 Mountains.
