Keirō-zan is a 218 m peak rising directly behind the historic castle town of Tatsuno-chō, in Tatsuno City, Hyōgo Prefecture, and serves as a symbolic backdrop for the town. The summit holds the ruins of Tatsuno's old mountain castle, built about 500 years ago by Akamatsu Murahide, with surviving stone walls and earthen ramparts. The surrounding woods are designated by the Forestry Agency's Kinki-Chūgoku Regional Forest Office as the Keirō-zan Nature Observation Educational Forest, with ridge trails offering views over the Ibo River and the western Harima plain. The mountain is one of the Nishi-Harima 11 Mountain Castles.
