Mount Ohira is a 315 m hill on the northern edge of Asakura City, Fukuoka Prefecture, paired with neighbouring Mount Yamigajo and developed as Ohira-yama Park. Convenient from the city centre, it is loved year-round for cherry blossoms, azaleas and irises in early summer, autumn foliage and winter cherries, with an observation deck offering panoramic views over the Tsukushi Plain and out to the Kuju, Unzen, Sefuri and Homan ranges. The peak appears in both the Fukuoka Choteizan and the Bunken Tozan Guide for Fukuoka.
