Mount Miurafuji

Mount Miurafuji has the inner sanctuary of Sengen Shrine on its summit. Fishermen revered it as a landmark for locating fishing grounds and their home ports. Views include Sagami Bay, Tokyo Bay, Izu Oshima and the Boso Peninsula, with Mount Fuji visible in favourable weather. Ridge paths continue toward Houdaiyama and Takeyama. As of 30 September 2026, hikers are asked to avoid the surrounding routes until post-typhoon safety checks finish; the route toward Tsuken-dori is closed.
