Mount Mito

Mount Mito, also known as Mount Daionji, is a 94.8 m hill in Mitsu-cho, Toyokawa City, Aichi Prefecture, at the southeastern end of the Hoi Mountains. Tokugawa Ieyasu granted the whole mountain as temple land to Daion-ji Temple, and the summit Mitsu-yama Park is a noted cherry blossom spot with around 150 trees. The mountain lies within Mikawa Bay Quasi-National Park, and its hime-haruzelemi cicada habitat is designated a Toyokawa City natural monument.
