Mt. Togami

砥神山

A 252-meter low mountain in Mitani, Gamagōri City, Aichi Prefecture, whose clean triangular silhouette has earned it the nickname "Mikawa Fuji" and the affectionate local name "Otogami-san." The twin summit holds a statue of En no Gyōja on the eastern peak and a rocky platform on the western peak; benches on top look out over Mikawa Bay to the Chita Peninsula, and on clear days as far as the Kii Peninsula and Mt. Fuji. Reached in twenty to thirty minutes via a stepped trail from a trailhead a thirty-minute walk from JR Mikawa-Mitani Station, the peak is often combined in a traverse with Mt. Goi and Mt. Midō. Listed in Aichi no 130-zan and Furusato Fuji Hyaku.
