Mount Matsuo

松尾山

Mount Matsuo (687 m), also known as Kosenji-yama, rises in the southwestern part of Tambasasayama City, Hyogo Prefecture. Ruins of Kosen-ji temple and a Sengoku-period mountain castle of the Tamba Sakai clan remain near the summit. A traverse with neighbouring Shiraga-dake is popular, and the peak is included in Tambasasayama City's official hiking map and in the regional guidebooks Hyogo-ken no Yama and Osaka-shuhen no Yama 250.
