Mount Komochi (1,273 m) rises on the border of Chichibu City and Yokoze Town (Chichibu District) in Saitama Prefecture, on the ridge running south from Mount Buko via Mount Omochi. The connecting ridge with Mount Omochi has rocky sections and a colony of akayashio azaleas in spring, with views over the Chichibu Basin and across to the Oku-Musashi and Mount Asama ranges. The peak is part of a popular Ichinotorii–Omochi–Komochi–Buko circuit and is listed in the Saitama Prefecture mountain guidebook and 350 Mountains Around Tokyo.
