The 222-meter highest point of Awashima Island in the Bisan Strait of the Seto Inland Sea, in Takuma, Mitoyo City, Kagawa Prefecture. The granite mountain stands on the western side of the island and is climbed by a maintained trail from Awashima Port; the summit observation deck offers a 360-degree panorama out to Shishijima, Takamijima and Sanagishima, and on clear days as far as Mount Iino, Goshikidai and the Seto Ohashi Bridge. Awashima itself is known as the "sailors' island" for hosting the first publicly funded maritime training school in Japan, opened in 1897. The peak is included in the 100 Famous Island Mountains and in the Kagawa Prefecture Mountain Guide (Bunken Tozan Guide).
