Mount Chausu (348.9 m) sits on the border of Kudamatsu City and Hikari City in Yamaguchi Prefecture and is part of the "Hikari Alps" ridge traverse with neighbouring Mount Toragatake and Mount Eboshigatake. A triangulation point marks the summit, which gives wide views over the Seto Inland Sea — as far as Himeshima Island in Ōita Prefecture on clear days. The Daikuro-ike Park route on the Hikari side and the Toyoi route on the Kudamatsu side are the main approaches. The peak is included in the Bōchō One Hundred Mountains list.
