Emergency shelter at about 1,565m, roughly 800m west of the summit of Mt. Takanosu on the Ishione ridge in Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park, in Tozura, Okutama Town, western Tokyo. According to the Okutama Visitor Center, the shelters in Okutama are for emergency refuge and visitors are asked not to use them otherwise. The toilet is usable, but all toilets attached to these shelters are of the vault type and no paper is provided. Some shelters have stream water nearby, though it may run dry, so hikers should carry plenty of water. The nearest descent is about 2.7km down the Sengen ridge to the settlement of Oku. There is no mobile phone reception.
