太子館

3,100 m · Yamanashi · 1.2 km from the summit of Kusushidake

A staffed, all-cypress hut on the Komagatake rocky ridge at about 3,100 m on Mt. Fuji's Yoshida Route. It is three to four hours from the Fuji Subaru Line Fifth Station and another three to four hours to the summit, placing it near the midpoint of the climb. Its name recalls a legend that Prince Shotoku rested here while ascending Fuji on a black horse, and an eighth-station medical aid post operates beside it in summer.
