Log-built lodge at Kamihikawa Pass (the eighth station of Daibosatsu Pass, 1,600m), on the main route to Daibosatsu-rei and Daibosatsu Pass. Buses for Kamihikawa Pass from Kai-Yamato Station on the Chuo Main Line terminate at its door; from the Shioyama side it is about two hours ten minutes up the trail from the Daibosatsu-toge-tozanguchi bus stop. All eight guest rooms are private and have skylights — Japanese-style rooms, twin-bed rooms, bunk rooms and a loft room — sleeping 23 in total. There are flush-type toilets, a large and a small bath, and downstairs a dining room, a common room and a lounge. As well as a base for the Daibosatsu range, it suits families who are not climbing. It opens year-round, with reservations compulsory from December to mid-April. The designated campsite nearby costs 500 yen a night and is booked at the lodge on the day.
