Shelter at about 1,935m at Sainokawara, on the ridge running from Daibosatsurei (2,057m), one of Japan's 100 Famous Mountains, towards Daibosatsu Pass, in Kamihagihara, Enzan, Koshu City, Yamanashi. Sainokawara is the site of the old Daibosatsu Pass; according to the Daibosatsu Tourism Association, the pass was moved to its present position because winter storms there were severe enough to cause fatalities. It is an open saddle strewn with piled stones, with wide views around. Koshu City's Daibosatsu trekking guide gives about 4 hours 30 minutes for a circuit starting at Kamihikawa Pass, or about 8 hours from the trailhead on National Route 411. No official information covers the hut's capacity or facilities, so water, food and bedding must be carried in.
