A small mountain hut at about 890m, midway up the Okura ridge that leads to Tonodake, the main peak of the Tanzawa range. From Shibusawa Station on the Odakyu Odawara line, the Shibu-02 bus reaches the Okura terminus in about 15 minutes, and the hut is a further 1 hour 20 minutes up the ridge via Zojiba-no-taira. The climb to this point is a steady pull through forest, and the gradient eases just above the hut, so most walkers treat it as the natural place to stop and get their breath back. It sits one step above Miharashi Chaya and one below Horiyama no Ie in the chain of teahouses strung along the ridge, and is one of the few that also takes overnight guests: it opens at weekends and over the New Year period, sleeping up to 33 people with two meals included.
