Unmanned emergency shelter in the northern Nasu range of Nikko National Park, in Tsuryu, Nishigo Village, Fukushima Prefecture. It stands at about 1,600m on the shore of Bozunuma pond, just south of Mt. Kashi-Asahi (Akakuzureyama) and roughly 1.8km southwest of Mt. Kashi, on the traverse that continues to Mt. Sanbonyari. The approach is over Mt. Kashi from the trailhead near Kashi Onsen Daikokuya, on the Nishigo side of the Kashi Tunnel on Route 289. Fukushima Prefecture records it as built in 2008, with a floor area of 33 square metres and room for about 20 people, open year-round and free of charge. There is no water source, no toilet and no caretaker. It exists for temporary refuge in bad weather and has no equipment for camping, so visitors must bring their own gear and drinking water; when snow blocks the entrance, users are told to go in and out through the window.
