山伏小屋

Hut at about 1,860m on the ridge dropping south from the summit of Yanbushi, the highest peak of the Abe headwaters, in Kogouchi, Aoi Ward, Shizuoka City. The summit is a broad sasa grassland where fireweed blooms around mid-August, drawing walkers, and in clear weather Mt. Fuji appears beyond the Oyakuzure landslide scar. Two routes climb the mountain, one from the Ikawa side and one from Umegashima, with parking space at Hyakujo Pass on the Ikawa side. Shizuoka City's tourism information gives about 40 minutes on foot from Hyakujodaira to the summit, about 2 hours 50 minutes by car from the Tomei Shizuoka interchange, and about 2 hours 30 minutes from Shizuoka Station. No description of the hut itself appears in Shizuoka City's published information, so its size and terms of use are unknown.
