佛生池小屋

1,745 m · Shōnai-machi, Yamagata · 1.8 km from the summit of Mount Gassan

A small seasonally staffed hut beside Busshoike Pond at the ninth station of Mt. Gassan. It is about two hours on foot from the eighth-station rest house on the Haguro route, with the summit another roughly 90 minutes beyond. The hut offers bedding, shojin-style meals made with local mountain vegetables, and snacks for day hikers.
