蓬ヒュッテ
1,529 m · Yuzawa, Niigata · 1.4 km from the summit of Mt. Bunōdake
Mountain hut at Yomogi-toge in the Tanigawa range, about 1,530m. It stands exactly halfway round the "Tanigawa horseshoe" traverse linking eight peaks — Tanigawadake, Ichinokuradake, Shigekuradake, Bunodake, Nanatsugoyayama, Asahidake, Kasagatake and Shiragamon — and offers an escape down the Yomogi-shindo on the Niigata side if weather or condition demands. A spring of cold rock water lies about ten minutes down the Yomogi-shindo. Only mats are provided, so a sleeping bag is needed, and camping is prohibited in the surrounding area. The bio-toilet runs on a contribution basis, and the shop opens on nights when the hut takes guests. It is about 5 hours up the Yomogi-shindo from Tsuchidaru Station, or about 6 hours 10 minutes from the top station of the Tanigawadake ropeway.
